PWC Endorsement Test Instructions
Testing rules
- This test is a administered as a closed book assessment.
- Remove all training materials (such as course notes, handbooks etc.) from your testing area.
- You must complete your test in isolation from other course participants, without discussion or interaction.
- You will be supervised at all times during the test. Remain in full view of the camera at all times.
- Your microphone and camera must remain turned on at all times.
- If you have a question/issue, contact your trainer using the ‘hand up’ function.
- Failure to comply with to the above testing rules may result in the termination of your licence test and/or results.
About the PWC endorsement test
- The test you are about to attempt is your official licence test.
- There are 4 possible PWC endorsement tests; you will receive one of these 4 tests (this is randomised).
- This is a multiple choice exam requiring you to select one answer from a group of three supplied answers.
- All questions must be answered.
- To pass the PWC endorsement test, you must correctly answer at least 13/15 questions.
- You are allowed 2 attempts at the licence test today.
- You will be notified of your test result immediately upon submitting the last question in your test.
- You can review your answers throughout the exam, and also after submitting your final submission.
If you are successful
You have successfully finished the course and can log off. You do not need to inform the trainer of your result as it is automatically stored on our database.
Your licence application will be mailed to you using your nominated address. This is typically done the following morning. When you receive the qualification, head over to VicRoads to purchase your licence. NOTE: The certificate is not your licence.
If you are unsuccessful
- If it’s your first attempt today, you may retry the exam using the appropriate button on the results screen.
- If it’s your second attempt today, you will need to book in a new testing date/time. After your second unsuccessful attempt, you are finished for today. You may log off.

Safe Transport Victoria collects and holds the personal information provided on the attached recreational marine licence test answer for the purpose of administering the Marine Safety Act 2010 (Vic). The personal information provided on the attached test answer sheet may be disclosed to other government agencies in connection with the administration of the Marine Safety Act 2010 (Vic) or the Marine Safety Regulations 2023 (Vic), or if the disclosure or use is required or authorised by law. The individual whose personal information is collected on the attached marine licence test answer sheet has a right to seek access to this personal information and to seek correction of any error in the personal information held. All individuals whose personal information is included on the attached marine licence test answer sheet should be informed of this fact.
Unauthorised person finding themselves in possession of this document, and/or the attached Marine licence test answer sheet, or a copy of this document, and/or the attached Marine licence test answer sheet, should return them immediately to: Safe Transport Victoria, P.O.
