Obtaining a marine licence

Under the marine safety act, all masters operating a powered recreational vessel on Victorian waters require a marine licence.

Once successfully completed this marine boating safety course, we’ll give you a certification that you can use for your resume.

Beyond this course, you’ll have the option of upgrading to our face-to-face accredited course that will give you the licence qualification.

However, with the current COVID-19 situation not going anywhere, you are probably best visiting your local VicRoads and attempt the testing there, which will only cost about $40.

The knowledge we’ll give you here will help you smash that test.

When you have done the test, you’ll be able to purchase your 5 year licence. You then simply need to renew it at the end of this period; no more courses or testing will be required if you keep your licence current and renewed.
